Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using askwednesday.app (the "App" or "Service"), operated by Wednesday ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
The Service is intended for students, alumni, and organizations affiliated with participating schools. By registering, you represent that you meet any applicable eligibility requirements (such as holding a valid school email address, where required) and that all information you provide is accurate and current.
2. Account Registration
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account. Verification codes sent by email or SMS are required to access your account and should not be shared with others.
3. Text Messaging Consent
By providing your phone number and using phone-based login or messaging features, you consent to receive SMS messages as described in our Privacy Policy, including verification codes and message notifications. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of non-essential SMS notifications at any time as described in the Privacy Policy.
4. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation
- Use the Service to harass, threaten, or send unlawful, abusive, or unsolicited content
- Upload content that infringes the intellectual property or privacy rights of others
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems
- Use the Service for any commercial solicitation not authorized by us
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service
5. User Content
You retain ownership of the content you submit (including messages, posts, resumes, portfolio items, and media). By submitting content, you grant Wednesday a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and transmit that content as necessary to operate the Service. You are solely responsible for the content you post and share.
6. Messaging Feature
The Service allows students, alumni, and organizations to message one another. We are not responsible for the content of messages exchanged between users and do not endorse any statements made by users. Report abusive behavior to us at support@askwednesday.com or simba.zimuto@askwednesday.com.
7. Organization Content and AI Assistants
Organizations may publish posts, knowledge base documents, and configure AI assistants on the Service. Organizations are responsible for ensuring their content is accurate, lawful, and does not infringe the rights of any third party.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by Wednesday and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WEDNESDAY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Wednesday harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Nashville, Tennessee (Davidson County).
14. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms with a new effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
